Account disabled

Wednesday, July 1, 2015

Linden Labs has disabled my account for some reason. I am working with them to try to resolve the issue. In the meantime this probably means my games aren't working. It also means I can't read any messages. If you need to communicate with me I can be reached at my email (for my email address, click to the main Procyon Games web site, then click the Contact Me link in the lower right)

Hello Rifkin,

I hope you will find your back to us. SL-Search and groups don't list your name anymore, but your Marketplace shop is still active.
Some minutes ago I tested the En Garde game - it still works.
If you need any help let me know.

Sincerely yours,
Ravelli Ormstein

Your in-game store went down at some point. There's just abandoned land there now.
Means there's no way (one that I'm aware of, anyway) to link my SL account to the website for stuff like license management.

The marketplace store also seems to be gone now. There is no way to buy any games.

The next (and perhaps last) blow would be for existing games to stop working. I can imagine this might happen if the external support server goes away.

The Chinese have death by a thousand cuts, but is this death by a few large cuts?

So it's probabally safe to assume that you are gone for good at this point, but it would be really nice if you could show your customers some respect and let them know what's going on.

Well this games demise is a real shame. I hope it can return somehow.

Could anyone share further details? I noticed the recent games and player rankings are a bit out of date, as in non-functioning, but the game still seems to work.

This is a mysterious saga to behold, with many strange twists and turns, especially since the reason for the ban remains "for some reason" that isn't clear. Why would Linden Lab ban one of the few enterprises that have contributed so much to Second Life? Every new day of silence only deepens the mystery.
